Legal Wit — No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

 "No good deed should go unpunished." This is the lesson the complainants in this case must surely have learnt by now. Having agreed to help [the defendant] with a computer problem, the complainants found themselves with a passel of woes, including attending repeatedly as witnesses on these criminal charges and one of the complainants being the object of a criminal complaint and a civil action by [the defendant].
